Baby's Room - coming together...

Ahhh... the process is a fun one, but a long one. Over the past couple weeks Scott and I have been laboring over the paint, chair rail, furniture for the new baby's room. For those of you who have previously seen our guest room, it has dramatically changed (for the better in my opinion). :) Since we are not finding out the sex of the baby, we opted for greens and yellows for the room. Scott and our neighbor Brian, cut all the wood and primed the chair rail that went up a couple weekends ago. I would have to say it looks pretty good boys!

Almost all the furniture was bought from an antique store down in Okoboji one weekend. It needed a little bit of work, but with just a few cans of white paint, I think we were able to accomplish that Shabby-Chic look that everyone is now talking about.

2 weekends ago Pam & Steve were in town to help celebrate my dad's 60th surprise birthday. So while we were distracting my father all day so he wouldn't pick up on his birthday bash, I put Pam and Steve to work helping to build the new crib...

Now we have to add the bedding, and hang the shelves and artwork and we will be all set!! I will upload more pictures as the room progresses!!
