More Projects

We have now begun working on the guest room/den. When we choose the paint color for this room, Scott was a little bit skeptical. So, he decided to shave his beard into a mustache and crank 70's music the entire time we painted because he felt that it will be our new 70's room! It will look cute and I will post new pictures once the room is entirely decorated.

(paint color before - beige)

(paint color afterwards - orange)

And the pounds continue to multiply...

When I was born, I only weighed 6lbs 13oz. Whitney was 5 lbs 13oz, Syd was a tiny 5lbs 1oz and Taylor was a monstorous 7lbs 1oz (yeah right!). Now the McKone family was a different story. Scott weighed in at 8lbs 14oz. Much larger than any of us. But I've always been told that you will typically carry the way your mother carries. Ok - wives tale!! First of all, my mom was able to hide her pregnancy with Taylor from all of us until she was 7 months along!!! Can you believe it?? That's absolutely crazy. She barely gained any weight with us and we all came out tiny (compared to the average size baby). There is abolutely no way I would be able to hide this mound that is continually growing off my stomach. I'm at 6 months and feeling like I'm 20 months! I'm told that it's only going to get bigger... aaaggghhh!!!

We had our 24 week (6 month) appointment last week and the doctor says everything is looking great so far. However, when it comes to the baby's size and weight, most of what the doctors tell you is speculative. They can be off as much as 2 whole lbs when the baby's born! But the ultrasound shows that the baby is currently weighing in at 1lb 9oz (as of last Monday 4/6/09)!! Most babies during their 24 week appointment weigh in an average 1lb 2oz. So it looks like I will be having a much larger baby than I was thinking!! YIKES!! I'm told however, that it's the size of the head more so than the weight that causes the issues during delivery. :)

Here are the most recent ultrasound pics. Does anyone have a guess as to whether it will be a girl or a boy? I'm still feeling boy, but goodness, who knows!!

Nice karate kick...!!!

Here's what I'm looking like at 24 weeks...
